ABOUT
Entropic Works considers art as temporary matter rather than permanent object.
Every system tends towards disorder. Machines wear. Landscapes erode. Materials oxidise. Organisms die. Civilisations accumulate and disperse.
Museums traditionally attempt to interrupt these processes. Objects are stabilised, conserved, isolated and preserved.
Entropic Works does the opposite.
The work is allowed to change. Failure is part of its composition. Death is its final state.
In the virtual gallery, observation itself accelerates this process. To look is to alter. To return is to discover that something has gone.
The work is alive until it is dead.
OBSERVATION IS NOT NEUTRAL.
